Kaspersky lab observed the significant escalation into its attacks on System users for two encryption tolls named as TrueCrypt system and WinRAR document encryption. This Trojan includes the component which allow hackers to take complete control of the victim's Computer. It enables them to hijack and steal victims disk content and download additional modules for communicating and contacting with the remote server.

The remote hackers created the several fraudulent sites to trap the victims. It transposed two letter into the domain to make customer fool into thinking that it was a legitimate site for installing the WinRAR software. In order to mislead System user, it places a prominent link into the malicious site. This Trojan also rerouted the user for legitimate site or the software-sharing sites to the TrueCrypt installers. It setups the ralrab.com site to mimics the original rarlab.com domain. When you visit any unfamiliar sites or download any freeware packages carelessly then this Trojan can intrudes into your Computer without any consent.

Trojan.StrongPity is mainly interested into the encrypted data and communicating. It encrypts user stored files with highly strong algorithm called AES-256 and TrueCrypt that completely encrypts the hard drives in one swoop. Win RAR enables the person to lock a file with AES-256 algorithm in the CBC mode with PBKDF2 HMAC-SHA256 based key. While TrueCrypt provides the effective open-source full disk locking solution for Apple, Windows, Android and Linux systems.
