Usually, the Nulltica Ransomware relies on the mac-enabled documents attached to spam email attachments and used it as a main distribution sources. Once the targeted system users open the file attached onto junk email, the harmful macro script gets executed. Once the Nulltica Ransomware successfully encodes the stored onto the victim's machine, it appends the affected file name with a file extension named '.lock'.

Although, the victimized system users also notice that every enciphered files feature a generic white icon as well. The malware displays a ransom notification reported as 'Information' which is a program window generated by a malware-related process identified 'Important.exe'. More surprisingly, the threat demands the ransom money of 50 Bitcoins which is equivalent to 193,201 USD or 160,827 EUR based on the current exchange rate.
