Zayka Ransomware : How To Delete? (Complete Removal Steps)

Zayka Ransomware : Yet Another Variant of CryptoMix

Zayka Ransomware is a recently discovered nasty file-encoder virus announced by the security researchers on July 20th, 2017. It uses cryptographic file encryption algorithm and is delivered to the user's computer through junk emails. Such spam emails might suggest you to open a pending bill, an invoice and pretends to be an important message from your social media accounts. It belongs to the family of CryptoMix ransomware virus. Once it invades the security system of the targeted computers, it initiates the file-encrypting procedure and makes the encoded files completely inaccessible and unreadable as well. After the successful file-encryption, the name of compromised files will be appended with a specific file extension reported as '.zayka'. Besides, Zayka Ransomware generates and leaves a ransom note onto the desktop named “_HELP_INSTRUCTION.TXT” file. It also drops the same ransom notification on each folder which contains encrypted data.

Furthermore, the displayed ransom note does not contain any specific amount of ransom money, but it consists an email address “admin@zayka[.]pro”. In the ransom note, the hackers suggests victimized computer users to write an email to the provided email address for price negotiations. Zayka Ransomware also instructs the victims to send any three encoded files which must be less than 1 MB and does not contain any kind of valuable information, in case if they want to test the decryption procedure. In this way, the racketeers seek to convince the victims to pay the ransom money for purchasing the decryption tool needed for file restoration. However, the security investigators at RMV do not recommend paying the ransom fee, because the recovery of the files is not guaranteed. Instead remove Zayka Ransomware from your system as early as possible and recover your data from backup copies or using third party data recovery tool.
