Remove PipeMon From Infected PC

 

PipeMon is another most dangerous recently launched computer threat which is classified from the family of Trojan. One of the most recent campaigns for the PipeMon is of the Winnti group which mainly targets the video game development companies which are located in Taiwan and South Korea region. The Winnti group activity and its traces were first seen and spotted in the year 2011. This Winnti group is an organization which is mainly used by cyber crooks that have been operating for infected the system for nearly a decade. This Winnti hacking group is also known by the name as APT41 i.e Advanced Persistent Threat. PipeMon enter silently within the targeted system and start to spreads its malicious code to entire part of the machine and thus damage it very badly. It is a new piece of malware which is also a Trojan backdoor which allows the attackers to take control over the compromised machine and thus perform a wide variety of malicious actions to it. Upon the successful infiltration of PipeMon within the targeted computer, start to disable its anti-virus engine and changes the various settings of the machine including the exe files, registry files, task manager, Window editor etc. It is further responsible to corrupt all the data and files which are there in the operating system.

Along with all these facts of PipeMon Trojan infection take complete control within the victim system and thus makes you unable to work on it. Moreover capable to change the desktop wallpaper and cause the blue screen of death error. Further, the PipeMon Trojan backdoor is also responsible for lateral spreading through the network of the compromised machine. It also allowed its operator to infect and damage a server which belongs to its target and then alter the in-game economy of the game which mainly includes item, prices, deals, currency etc. The PipeMon Trojan is further more able for listing up the files and folders present on the system, collect all the information and credentials regarding the Remote Desk Protocol (RDP), to execute the remote commands and to collect all the data about the machine hardware and software. Further, the evil effect of PipeMon makes the system completely sluggish and vulnerable. It also allows other risky spyware and threat to implant on the infected system. Steps to Delete PipeMon

Step: 1 Restart your Windows PC in Safe Mode

Find the complete details on how to Reboot your PC in Safe Mode (if you are a novice, follow the above given instructions on how to boot up your PC in Safe mode irrespective of the Windows Version that is being used as Windows XP, 7, Win 8, 8.1 and Windows 10)

Step:2 Remove PipeMon from Task Manager

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL simulataneously to open Task manager. Find PipeMon Related processes or any other suspicious processes that are running on it. Now Select and delete PipeMon virus from Task Manager at once.

 

Step:3 How to Delete PipeMon Related Startup Items

Press Win + R together and Type “msconfig”.

Now press Enter Key or Select OK.

“Startup” option is to be selected on the Pop-up Window Tab

Now Search for PipeMon Related applications on Startup Items

Now Uncheck all Unknown or Suspicious items from “System Configuration” related to PipeMon

Now Click and Select Restart to Start your Computer in Normal Mode

Step: 4 How to Delete PipeMon from Windows Registry

1. Press Win + R in combination to Open Run Box, Type regedit on the search box and press enter.
2. This will Open the registry entries.
3. Find PipeMon related entries from the list and carefully delete it. However be careful and do not delete any other entries as this could severely damage the Windows Component.

Also, after completing the above steps, it is important to search for any folders and files that has been created by PipeMon and if found must be deleted.

Step 5 How to View Hidden Files and Folders Created by PipeMon

1. Click on the Start Menu
2. Go to Control Panel, and Search for folder Options
